Why Bamboo?

For decades, wood-pulp paper has been heralded as the final solution to sustainability despite having a catastrophic impact on both deforestation and our environment.

Our 100% bamboo range can outperform many traditional/alternative products while providing tangible environmental benefits by reducing deforestation and growing bamboo, which releases more oxygen, sequesters more co2 and improves soil quality.

All About Bamboo

Environmental Benefits

Rapid renewability

Many bamboo species reach harvestable maturity in approximately 5–6 years, compared with the decades required by many timber trees.

Carbon storage

Bamboo absorbs and stores atmospheric CO₂ as it grows. The overall climate benefit depends on how it is cultivated, processed, transported and manufactured.

Biodegradability

Bamboo paper products can biodegrade, but the rate depends on their composition and disposal conditions. Product-specific testing can help establish how they compare with conventional alternatives.

Soil protection

Responsibly managed bamboo can regenerate from its existing root system and help protect soil against erosion.

Practical Benefits

Premium quality

Our bamboo product range offers businesses an opportunity to explore alternative materials while supporting their environmental and ESG objectives.

Bamboo straws

Designed to retain their integrity during use, offering a more reliable alternative to paper straws that become soggy or disintegrate.

Bamboo centrefeed

Designed for excellent absorbency and strength, helping improve cost-per-use. Its low-lint performance makes it particularly suitable for glass cleaning and food-service environments.

Guaranteed roll lengths

Our products are supplied to a stated minimum length, rather than an approximate figure. This gives customers greater certainty over the quantity they receive and helps them compare suppliers on a like-for-like basis.

Bamboo toilet paper

A soft alternative to premium wood-pulp paper, with rapid-dissolving performance that may help reduce plumbing issues when supported by appropriate product testing.

The battle against deforestation.

Whether it be the cutting of trees to produce conventional wood pulp paper products, or the setting of forest fires to clear room for cattle to graze for the meat trade, the harsh reality is plain to see. 10 million hectares of forest are destroyed on average each year.
